THE CHESS CLUB

Currently the chess club meets during lunch hour between noon and 1 PM. It was originally hoped that we would get enough people interested in playing once a week after work. Our initial attempt to advertise on the Sikorsky Intranet, did not yield many new members (one person showed up). So the small group of us, about 4 at the time, continued to meet every day in the Café.

Since we placed the club contact information on the Sikorsky Intranet web site, however, our membership is slowly increasing. There are nine of us now. We continue to meet at lunch time.

Although we always welcome new members, It may be difficult or impossible for retirees to play at the hours we now meet. But, if you are interested, email contact me, Joseph Mucci and we will see what we can arrange.

If there are a lot of retirees interested, it may be possible to set something up for after working hours too.
