Avis Rent A Car is UTC's preferred rental car supplier for worldwide travel, replacing Budget Rent A Car. UTC travelers must use Avis to have access to UTC's preferred corporate rates, insurance coverage and other berfefits.
UTC corporate rates also are available to retirees and employees' parents, children, stepchildren and siblings, but rates for these individuals will no longer include insurance coverage. For insurance coverage, these renters should confirm their insurance coverage offering with their personal car insurance company or personal credit card provider, or purchase the coverage from Avis.
Employees and Retirees can save time at check-in and avoid waiting in line by becoming Avis Preferred members. Here's how for Retirees:

- Log on to the Avis homepage ( www.avis.com )
- Click on the Programs Tab and select Individual Renters to register for your Avis Preferred Service number
To get the corporate rates, when you apply for your Avis Preferred Service number, enter the UTC Discount number B920507 in the Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) Number space when you get to that page of the application
