There is a discount for retirees. I asked how much of a discount and I guess it varies by "how long you rent", "from where you rent" and probably some other criteria. As an example, a rental from Bradley for 1 week goes from $42.99 per day to $25.09 per day...that's a 40 % discount....WOW

Anyhow, to get the discount, you need a "Letter Of Authorization" from HR. It can be a printed copy of the email reply from HR requesting it. Please avoid being too brief with your request. They will need your complete name, address, telephone number and dates of rental. If you remember your clock number, it will greatly help, but it is NOT mandatory.

Once you have it, just bring it to the AVIS counter when you get your rental or notify the AVIS Agent if you call for rate information.
